Dante Ravelli Masonry of Camden, Maine was founded in 2004 as a residential and commercial provider of high-quality stone and brick hardscape services.
At Dante Ravelli Masonry we are adept at working one-on-one with Maine homeowners, contractors, and architects on projects of all kinds – residential, commercial, and historic restoration.
We consider the strong bonds of trust forged between owner Dante Ravelli and our customers as key to our company’s growth. His attention to customer expectations and his ability to communicate the same to every employee is what has made us “Maine’s preferred residential and commercial masonry contractor.”
Dante resides in Camden, Maine with his beautiful wife, Dr. Jamie Ravelli, and sons, Dario and Leonardo.
“Dante has been a valuable part of our team. His prices have been competitive with clear expectation of how he will do the work and how the end product will appear. He has the ability to communicate with the owners to ensure them that their expectations will be met, with quality construction and appearance.”

“We asked at our local masonry supply warehouse, 'who can build a good chimney?' They gave us the phone number for a guy named Dante. The name sounded good, like a seasoned old-world artisan, and the recommendation was strong.
We called and set up a time and ordered all the materials for a two-flue 28-foot-tall block chimney. Dante showed up early in the morning with his helper, Morgan, and they went to town. By sundown of a single summer's day, they were through the roof and troweling the last of the mortar. They were big, all-American guys who carried thousands of pounds of blocks, bricks, and mortar up ladders and staging, hour after hour.
Later, Dante delicately stuccoed the chimney inside the house, and this serious centerpiece turned out perfectly straight and beautiful! Maybe not from the old world, Dante is certainly an artisan and a very hard worker.”

“Our home in in-town Camden was built prior to 1800. Even though the foundation is very humble, dry laid field stone with granite trim from the exposed area between grade and sill, we are very protective of any maintenance performed on this old house. Additionally, my wife is a serious gardener, and any work on the outside of our home needs to be respectful of her beautiful endeavors.
A portion of our foundation was in disrepair. This section, which underlies the ell of the home and faces Pearl Street lacked granite trim found elsewhere in the foundation, consisted of unattractive small stones poorly mortared. In much of this area, the mortar was cracked or missing. This section also had a basement window which needed to be replaced. Dante found granite that matched the color and grain of our existing sections, anchored them securely to the field stone below, and worked with the carpenters to see that the coordination of window instillation in the exposed wall was done efficiently and accurately. Despite close quarters and the proximity of my wife's plantings, the flower beds were preserved.
We were so pleased with Dante's work that we obtained him for a much more extensive project in the Fall of 2008. The mortaring of our dry laid stone foundation from the basement floor to the granite trim. As before, Dante's work was excellent, and his skill's working with us as option's arose during he course were handled in a friendly, professional and thoughtful manner.
Our old house will need more masonry work and we hope to continue our relationship with Dante Ravelli Masonry as needs arise. We are fortunate to have met such a talented craftsman and we highly recommend him.”

“This letter represents my appreciation for a job well done with regards to my recent home project of building a fireplace.
You were very understanding and patient while I puzzled over the design details. I also appreciate the fact that you took the time to assist me in making decisions from placement of the chimney to what colors might be nice in the room. Throughout the entire project you worked diligently, stayed within the budget and completed the work by the deadline promised. You showed great respect for my home and your job cleanliness was impeccable.
I have a great peace of mind knowing that my fireplace was built with quality workmanship. On these cold winter days when I have a roaring fire and enjoying the warmth and beauty of the fireplace, I'm truly grateful to have had the pleasure of working with you and would highly recommend you to anyone that wants to be one hundred percent happy with their project.”
Sincerely,
Sandy Place
